According to research published in the International Journal of Environmental Research & Public Health, researchers from the University of Freiberg, the Collagen Research Institute and the University of Vienna examined the effect of 15 grams of Gelita’s BodyBalance collagen peptides, consumed for 12 weeks by middle-aged, untrained males. They observed that consumption of collagen peptides along with resistance training, as well as supplementation with whey protein along with resistance training were both effective in triggering an increase in fat free mass and decrease in fat mass, but the effects of the collagen peptides were much more pronounced (3 times as impactful).
